The 2x8 that we produce at the Hew Mill has been acknowledged by many sawmill professionals as well as grading inspectors as one of the best looking 2x8's in the market. This is mainly due to the fact that it comes out of the center cutting patterns of the log.  Its light color and small, tight knot structure gives it a beautiful appearance.  The market response from our 2x8 has been incredibly positive in every market it has been sold in.  If you are interested in purchasing some of this product please feel free to give me a call or send me an e-mail. 

Here is a picture of a unit of 2x8 at the infeed deck to the planer mill. As you can see from this end view, this product is really virtually wane free.  In my estimate, I would say that it is 98%+++ wane free.
